Ukrainian U-21 football team played the second friendly match in November. After Portugal (3:3), Italy became the new rival of Unai Melgosa's team.
On the opponent's territory, the Ukrainians played a 2:2 draw, as the portal Novyny.LIVE reported.
Ukrainians did not lose to the top team again
The first half ended in favor of the hosts. During the 26th minute, Palestra completed a cross from the right wing, and Fabio opened the scoring with an accurate shot.
Ukrainians responded quickly — in the 28th minute, Oleh Kvasnytsia intercepted the ball, approached the penalty area and equalized the score with a shot into the far lower corner of the gates.
At the end of the half, in the 45th minute, Esposito scored with a header from a corner kick, putting Italy ahead again.
In the second half, the "blue and yellow" played more interestingly than their opponent and were rewarded in the 84th minute.
After a successful attack, carried out in a few touches, Tsarenko passed to Krasnopir, who scored into an empty net — 2:2.
