World heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk asked one of the most famous American bloggers a question. The athlete asked to deliver an important question to Donald Trump.

Usyk reminded the world that the Azovstal defenders are still in Russian captivity, according to the boxer's account on the social network X.

WBA, WBC, and WBO heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk addressed blogger Joe Rogan, who invited US presidential candidate Donald Trump to one of his podcasts. The Ukrainian asked the politician to remind him of one of the tragedies of the war that Russia started in the neighboring country.

What Usyk wrote

Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed that he has influence over Russian President Vladimir Putin. Oleksandr Usyk believes the American politician could use this influence to bring Ukrainian POWs home.

"If Mr. President is so confident in his influence over Putin, could he not immediately help free the defenders of Azovstal and all Ukrainians held in Russian captivity?" Usyk wrote.

The boxer added that this issue cannot be delayed, as many Ukrainians have been in captivity for over two years. Usyk also included the hashtag #FreeAzovstalDefenders.

As a reminder, Tyson Fury recently shared how he almost ended his professional boxing career but changed his mind thanks to wise advice.

Former world champion Mike Tyson also named a boxer who might go undefeated throughout his career.
