The Head of State supported the boxer before the fight. He wished him success and emphasized that Ukrainians have their fingers crossed for him.

"I really want, you know, I really want victory for Ukraine. Each of your victories  it gives a mood, it charges Ukrainians. Everyone is a big fan of your talent, your courage, your strength and your success. We all wish you success," Zelensky emphasized.

During the conversation, he jokingly reminded that Britain, represented by Tyson Fury, is a partner of Ukraine. According to him, "you shouldn't offend your opponent too much, because we get missiles from the country".

On December 20, Usyk spoke to the defenders of Azovstal. The world champion and his fans reminded the world that more than 1,500 Mariupol defenders are still in captivity.

Also on December 19, Riyadh hosted the final press conference before the Usyk-Fury fight, where the battle of the eyes attracted the most attention.
