NBU introduced a coin dedicated to Usyk's victory over Fury

The National Bank of Ukraine decided to mark the biggest country's sport event in 2024. The world was waiting for it for 24 years, and the author was the Ukrainian — Oleksandr Usyk.
The NBU introduced a coin dedicated to Usyk's undisputed championship. This was reported by the press service of the central bank.
New coin made in collaboration of Usyk and NBU
According to the NBU, on October 1, the head of the bank Andriy Pishnyy and Usyk presented the "Undisputed" commemorative coin.
This coin commemorates Usyk's victory over Tyson Fury in a fight for the WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO in the heavyweight division. Usyk won and went down in history.
"I am grateful for such a high honor, but I want to emphasize that this coin symbolizes all athletes who win medals for our country, as well as all those who defend Ukraine with weapons in their hands. Our victories are also a reminder to the world that Ukrainians are fighting for their life, for their relatives," Usyk said.
The last absolute heavyweight boxing world champion before Usyk in 2000 was the British Lennox Lewis. It should be noted that he received this title in the era of three WBC, WBA and IBF titles. In 2007, the WBO organization received the status of one out of the four main titles. Therefore, Alexander is the first "Undisputed" in the era of four titles.
It should be noted that on one side of the UAH 5 coin, a traditional Crimean Tatar ornament is depicted, which is used in the design of one outfit of Usyk in the "battle of the views" before the fight with Fury.
On the other side of the coin is an image of Usyk against the background of the Motherland Monument. In total, up to 50,000 coins were put up for sale.
Previously, Tyson Fury told how he will defeat Usyk in the rematch, which will be held on December 21 in Saudi Arabia.
Also earlier, the talented Ukrainian super heavyweight Vladyslav Sirenko got his 22nd victory.
