While in the UK, Tyson Fury made a very loud statement. The former champion has once again retired.

Fury posted his statement on social media platform X.

Fury retired as a professional boxer

Amid rumors of a super fight against Anthony Joshua scheduled for the summer, Fury got in touch and said goodbye to his fans in the most carefree way he knows how.

"Hello, everyone! I want to briefly announce my retirement from boxing. It was an incredible experience and I enjoyed every minute of it. I’ll end with a quote: Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless you and I’ll see you on the other side," Fury claimed.

It is worth noting that Fury announced his retirement after losing twice to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk by judges’ decisions.

It is also important to note that Fury has repeatedly announced his retirement. The most famous cases were after the fight with Wladimir Klitschko and before the first fight with Usyk. Each time, the boxer returned for bigger paydays.

In professional boxing, Fury won 34 fights, 24 of them by knockout, lost two fights, and ended another in a draw. After the fight with Klitschko and before the fight with Usyk, it was Tyson who was considered the strongest heavyweight in the world.

As a reminder, photos from Donetsk earlier showed the destroyed Shakhtar stadium.
