A top club from the USA is waiting for Smolyakov

According to the source, Los Angeles, the third MLS team last season, is interested in the services of the young defender. The club has already made an offer for the player.

The source noted that during the negotiations Polissya's management almost doubled the terms for themselves. Initially, the U.S. club offered a little over $1 million, but the final price was $2 million.

In addition, Polissya's management retained a percentage of the player's next resale.

"Negotiations between the clubs are currently in the final stages. The terms have been agreed upon by all parties. The final "yes" was personally expressed by the president of Polissya Hennadiy Butkevych," the statement reads.

It is interesting to note that French national team legend Olivier Giroud and former Shakhtar player Marlon play in Los Angeles.

Earlier, Polissya refused to sell Smolyakov to Spanish side Real Valladolid, who wanted to sign the player on loan.

The player made one assist in 19 games for Polissya this season.

The 21-year-old Smolyakov currently has a contract with Polissya until June 30, 2028. The authoritative statistical portal Transfermarkt estimates the player at 900 thousand euros.
