Harlan is considered the greatest Ukrainian athlete ever

Fencer Olha Harlan from Mykolaiv has been recognized as the greatest Ukrainian athlete of all time. She earned this title by winning the most awards at the Olympic Games.
This was reported by the Association of Sports Journalists of Ukraine.
Achievements of the athlete
The Association conducted a survey among one hundred sports journalists. According to its results, Olha Harlan was awarded the title of "The Greatest of All Time".
"Having won gold and bronze at the Paris Olympics, Harlan became the most decorated Ukrainian athlete in history. No other Ukrainian has more Olympic medals than her. During her 16-year competitive career, which included five Olympics, Olha won six awards at the Games — from the first team gold in Beijing 2008 to the highest award in Paris 2024," the Assosiation says.
In addition, Olha Harlan got 6 gold medals at the World Championships, including four individual golds, 8 gold medals at the European Championships, and two golds at the European Games. She also finished the season at the top of the world rankings five times.
