Ukrainians successfully held the Wheelchair Fencing World Cup

The Wheelchair Fencing World Cup was held in Pisa, Italy. The Ukrainian team won 11 medals at the tournament.

This was reported by the Paralympic Committee of Ukraine.

Ukraine successfully performed at the World Cup

At the tournament, which brought together fencers from 25 countries around the world, Ukrainians won one gold, five silver and five bronze medals.

The only gold medal for Ukraine was brought by Oleh Naumenko in the men's rapier in category B.

Silver medals were won by Andriy Demchuk (rapier, category A and sabre, category A), Nadiya Dyolog (foil, B), Oleksiy Zakusylo (épée, A), and the Ukrainian épée team in team competitions.

Bronze medals were won by Yesina Olha (épée, B), Natalia Morkvych (rapier, A and sabre, A), Oleh Naumenko (épée, B) and rapier fencers in team competitions.

The most successful at the tournament was Naumenko, who has one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

As a reminder, the main central defender of the Ukrainian national team and Bournemouth Ilya Zabarnyi may move to Manchester United.
