My task is to help people and inspire them financially — Usyk
Oleksandr Usyk, the unified world heavyweight boxing champion, wants to help Ukrainians. He considers this an important task in wartime.
Usyk spoke about this at "The Power of Sports Diplomacy" forum, a correspondent of the portal Novyny.LIVE reports.
Usyk urged others to help as well
During his speech, Oleksandr called for helping Ukrainians in need, emphasizing that he personally created the conditions to be able to support others.
"Helping my country, helping people — Ukrainians who need it — because, thank God, I have personally established the means through my work and determination to assist others who are currently struggling. Our country has been at war with an aggressor for three years now, and some people are unable to cope with it, both psychologically and physically.
Our task, my personal task, is to help these people and inspire them — financially, physically, morally, and psychologically — to support our country because it needs to be done.
If your country is in difficulty, if your country faces problems, you must be the first to step up and help your country and your people," said Usyk.
